Ahead of the Festival of Ironwork in June, organisers are inviting you to join them on a short guided walk around some of the highlights of Bath’s magnificent historic ironwork. From the resplendent to the quirky, from candle snuffs and winches to exquisite chandeliers and ornate canopies, come along and find out what makes this precious aspect of our heritage unique.
Led by Alex Coode and Stacey Hibberd of the Heritage Blacksmith Partnership, this short walk is a great opportunity to explore the hidden history behind the fascinating ironwork all around us which ordinarily we hardly notice.
When? Saturday 19th May, 12 noon for approx. 45 minutes
Where? Meet outside the entrance to the Empire Hotel building (under the ironwork canopy). Alex & Stacey will be carrying BathIRON placards.
Tickets: £5 in advance or on the day
