EXHIBITION

Each of Bath Preservation Trust’s four museums offers an inspiring story. From the discoveries of a visionary brother and sister at the Herschel Museum of Astronomy to the collection of a unique man at Beckford’s Tower; the lifestyle of a Georgian gentleman at No. 1 Royal Crescent and the skills of the craftsmen who built the city at the Museum of Bath Architecture, we want our visitors to enjoy their achievements.

In 2019, we will collaborate with a wide range of people and invite them to respond to these inspiring stories through the use of artforms including photography and mixed media. The ‘Taking on History’ exhibition will showcase work by older people from Age UK (Bath & North East Somerset), local families and schoolchildren, and mental health support groups such as @freshart.

Every participant will have their own personal ‘take’ on the stories our museums tell. ‘Taking on History’ will be an exciting celebration of their creativity.

Free with normal admission, at the Museum of Bath Architecture
