a. Guides in rooms
There are volunteer guides in most rooms, who are happy to help all visitors and answer questions.
b. Multimedia guides
A virtual tour for visitors with mobility issues is available to borrow from the ticket desk.The tour is on an iPad and a credit card is required for security. The iPad has been fitted with a bracket that can be attached to wheelchairs. The suggested point for viewing the virtual tour is next to the Grand Staircase.
c. British Sign Language guide (BSL)
A BSL tour for visitors will is available to borrow from the ticket desk. The tour is on an iPad and a credit card is required for security.
d. Large print
A Walk-around Guide and the Floor Plan are available in large print from the ticket desk. Exhibit labels for temporary exhibitions are available to borrow.
e. Handling objects
Handling objects can be found in some rooms for example in the Gentleman’s Retreat, the Lady’s Bedchamber, the Servants’ Hall and the Kitchen.
